A Framework for the Collection of Universal Client Side Paradata (UCSP)

This webpage is dedicated to the conceptualization and collection of paradata. We use the term UCSP to indicate the extension of action-oriented CSP-scripts (onClick, etc.) into a broader concept which uses event-based scripts. One of the advantages is that paradata of all mouseclicks and keystrokes can be collected regardless of where they happen in the survey window.

Dirk Heerwegh maintains a collection of websites about paradata and provides ready-to-use scripts for inclusion in survey questionnaires. The script goes beyond the collection of time stamps by tracking pauses and scrolling. It also includes an easy to use analysis tool, the PHP-CSP Processor.
